経済学者の小島武仁氏、株式会社KAKEAI（カケアイ）の顧問に就任。
労働市場が抱える問題解決への実装で連携。
経済学の世界的権威である小島武仁氏（東京大学大学院経済学研究科 教授　東京大学マーケットデザインセンター所長／前スタンフォード大学 教授）が顧問に就任したことをお知らせいたします。
小島氏の研究実績や知見を、労働市場が抱える問題解決へ向けた実装で連携してまいります。
なお、小島氏は10月2日（金）開催のオンラインイベント「KAKEAI INTERACTION Day 2020 」にもショートトークゲストとして登壇します。

〈プロフィール〉
経済学者。1979年生まれ。2003年東京大学卒業（経済学部総代）、2008年ハーバード大学経済学部博士。イェール大学（博士研究員）、スタンフォード大学（助教授、准教授、教授）
2012年に33歳の驚異的な速さでスタンフォード大学にてテニュア（無期雇用）を得た。
2013年には、スローンリサーチフェローにも選出される。（米国スローン財団により1955年に創設された、分野を問わず優れた若き研究者に与えられる。年間100名程度のうちの1人に選出）
2020年より東京大学経済学部教授、東京大学マーケットデザインセンター(UTMD)所長。
専門分野は人と人や人とモノ・サービスを適材適所に引き合わせる方法を考える「マッチング理論」と、それを応用して社会制度の設計や実装につなげる「マーケットデザイン」。日本の研修医マッチング制度や待機児童問題を改善する具体的な方法の発明などで知られる。多くのトップ国際学術誌に論文を多く発表し、受賞多数。最も生産性の高い日本人経済学者とされている。また、大学内外との連携も積極的に行っている。

◾️顧問就任にあたってのメッセージ（小島武仁氏より）
「マーケットデザイン」のキーワードは「適材適所」です。
適材適所の資源配分を行うには実務に耐えうる仕組みを作ることが不可欠です。そして、具体的に「なにを・誰をどう組み合わせるか」という数学的な問題を現実的な時間内に解く必要があります。
日本には「適材適所」にまつわるやりがいのある課題が多数あります。その中で着目していることの一つは労働市場や組織内に存在する課題です。
これはまさに株式会社KAKEAIが取り組む領域です。
2020年9月の東京大学マーケットデザインセンター（UTMD）設立と所長就任を機にスタンフォードから日本に帰ってくるにあたりKAKEAIへの理解を深めたわけですが、領域が合致しているだけではなく、世界的にもユニークなKAKEAIのアプローチ手法は、企業や個人の実務に耐えうる仕組みでもあり、また現実的な問題を解く基盤でもあると確信しました。そこに理論や知見が掛け合わされることで社会へ大きなインパクトを提供できる可能性を感じています。
KAKEAIとの取り組みを通じて労働市場・日本企業の組織内における「人と人」「人と仕事」「人と組織」の適材適所にまつわる問題解決を進め、KAKEAIのミッションである「世界中の人々が、どこで、誰と働こうとも、一人ひとりがもっている人生の可能性が決して毀損されることが無い社会の実現」に寄与できることを願っています。
We are pleased to announce that Mr. Fuhito Kojima, a world-renowned authority on economics (Professor at the University of Tokyo Graduate School of Economics, Director of the Market Design Center at the University of Tokyo and former Professor at Stanford University) has been appointed as an advisor.
We will collaborate with Mr. Kojima to apply his research achievements and knowledge to solve labor market problems.
Mr. Kojima will also take the stage as a guest for a short talk at the KAKEAI INTERACTION Day 2020 online event to be held on Friday, October 2.

■Profile
An economist, born in 1979, he graduated at the top of his class from the University of Tokyo in 2003 with a degree in economics.Doctor in Economics from Harvard University in 2008. Yale University (postdoctoral fellowship) and Stanford University (assistant, associate, and professor). He has also received tenure at Stanford University in 2012 at the astounding age of 33. In 2013, and elected a Sloan Research Fellow which is a fellowship given to outstanding young researchers, regardless of field. Only one will be selected from around 100 nominees each year.
In the year of 2020 he has become a professor at the University of Tokyo’s Faculty of Economics and Director of the University of Tokyo’s Market Design Center.
His academic field of expertise is “matching theory”, which considers how to bring people and people and goods/services together in the right place, and “market design”, which is applied to the design and implementation of social systems.He is known for inventing concrete methods to improve Japan’s residency matching system and the issue of children on nursery school waiting lists in Japan. He has published many research papers in numerous top international journals and has won various awards. Regarded as one of the most productive Japanese economists, he is also actively involved in collaborations with universities and other organizations.
